Programme Overview

Legal literacy for the early secondary years.

Key Stage 3 is the foundation period for so much of what comes next, including legal awareness. Our Years 8 to 10 workshop introduces students to the legal topics most relevant to their age group, with content tailored to the maturity and curriculum context of KS3 in Northern Ireland.

The workshop is offered in three time formats: a 1-hour legal foundation session, a 2-hour in-depth conversation, and a 3-hour format that includes our flagship mock trial with wigs and gowns. Schools choose the format that suits their timetable.

All sessions are discussion-led and tailored to the school's context. Aligned to Northern Ireland's Learning for Life and Work (LLW) curriculum and Citizenship strand.

Each format is fully scoped and ready to deliver. Content is tailored to the time available, not compressed or stretched.

1
Hour Format

A focused legal foundation session covering the most pressing topics for KS3. No mock trial. Ideal for fitting into a single LLW or PSHE slot.

2
Hour Format

A deeper conversation with more space for discussion and scenario work. No mock trial. Best for schools wanting comprehensive coverage of multiple topics.

3
Hour Format

Our most popular option. Includes the mock trial with wigs and gowns. Students take on roles of prosecution, defence, witness and jury for maximum engagement.
